TJP identifies Lieutenant General Hamid Gul as its founder. Its leadership profile records that he was born in Sargodha on 20 November 1936 and studied at Government College Lahore before entering the Pakistan Military Academy at Kakul.

He was commissioned into the Pakistan Army’s Armoured Corps in October 1956. He later served as Director-General of Inter-Services Intelligence from 1987 to 1989 and became a public commentator on defence and regional affairs.

TJP’s account connects its founding vision with national unity, domestic development, and self-reliance. Its published philosophy and manifesto provide further context for these stated priorities.

The accompanying portrait comes from TJP’s media archive. Its date is not specified. This profile introduces the founder; it does not attribute the chairman’s later engagements to him.
